David Child
Managing Director - Life, Pensions and Distribution
David Child sits on the Vertex main operating board and is responsible for the Life, Pensions and Distribution area in Vertex Financial Services.
David joined Marlborough Stirling in prior to its acquisition by Vertex in 2003 and was appointed the Managing Director of Life, Pensions and Distribution in August 2006. Previously, he was Managing Director of The Exchange, whom he joined in 2003 as Chief Operating Officer. He was responsible for guiding The Exchange through its development and maintaining its market leading position with the launch of Exweb Gold, the next generation of the Exweb portal and the acquisition of 1st.
Prior to joining Marlborough Stirling David was commercial director at AssureWeb where he had overall responsibility for all aspects of business development, product provider relationships and IFA marketing. Before assuming his role at AssureWeb, David held a number of directorships within the DBS network, focusing on IT and compliance. Prior to DBS he held various management roles at the M&E Network and the Bank of England.
