Sustainability and Environment
We are raising our awareness of how our business impacts on the environment and responding accordingly. This includes developing key partnerships with, for example, the Groundwork Trust and introducing sustainable business practices across our operations.
Our recently revised Sustainable Development Policy commits us to:
- Recognise our role in supporting sustainable development in the regions in which we operate by working with relevant organisations and local communities, and investing in selected community partnerships.
- Operate in a way that safeguards public health and minimises the adverse impacts of our operations on local communities, avoiding inconvenience to residents and businesses.
- Invest in our employees to enable them to achieve their potential and encourage our employees to get involved in their communities, and take personal action to support sustainable development goals.
- Work to ensure we attract new employees and take steps to ensure that our workforce reflects the diversity of the communities we serve.
- Support a programme of sustainable transport initiatives.
- Develop affiliations and networks which complement our outsourcing activity and support developing sustainable communities for its clients.
- Review our purchasing policy and identify opportunities to switch to sustainable materials (especially in print and paper areas).
- Develop and monitor key metrics relating to sustainable consumption and develop a programme to improve performance.
- Introduce waste minimisation and recycling initiatives at our main offices.
- Help raise awareness around good corporate citizenship by working collaboratively with our stakeholder groups.
